Sweep!

So pumped that our Spurs have done it again! Mike and I went to Lion and Rose pub last night to watch the game and it was a blast. Funny that I used to hate that place, but it is actually very laid back and not as packed as all those other sports bars you go to. It is fun being able to be a part of a city with a winning team !

I am excited that is a rainy day today. Rainy days make me want to cuddle up in bed with my hubby and watch SVU all day! I remember back in the day on rainy days like this, people used to tell me that it is raining because God is crying. It made me sad that it would rain. Now when it rains I am just in awe of how fast God can change the weather and our atmosphere in a matter of seconds.

Tonight the plan is to workout (yay go me) and cook for my love. I think I will try baked chicken, basil, garlic, lemon, tomato, and mozzarella topped on top! My side along with it shall be asparagus with hollandaise sauce and just to keep going with the healthy streak.. I may be feeling gutsy and try a new cabbage side to go along with it! Hopefully it turns out to be a good meal!

Speaking of food, Mike and I started to realize how hard it is to maintain a healthy diet when you are married. We both have gained quite the weight since we have been married. I just call it love fat. On the contrary, we both refuse to keep getting huge. So our plan is to start sharing meals when we go out and eat more at home! It is so hard to eat at home when the Spurs keep winning and everyone wants to go out to watch the game! It has almost been 3 months of marriage and I know it will get better with our eating habits. I just started to count calories this week on my new app (my fitness pal) ! It is free on the iPhone and awesome! It helps a lot put in factor to what I really am taking in everyday. So if you see me start grabbing for that piece of dessert or extra fry.. I give you permission to slap my hand. :) ha just kidding. But really. just say no :) ! Well I am going to enjoy the rain at work now and think about more ideas for recipes. So that basically translates to.. let me get back to my pinterest pinning addiction on recipes!
